Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for performing contract data analytics to provide insights for company’s key Payer customer(s) across multiple channels of pharmaceutical businesses such as Commercial Insurance channel, Medicare and Medicaid Channels. Collaborating with stakeholders including Finance, Marketing, IT & field-based Account Managers.Ensuring company has the appropriate pricing & contracting analytics for current & pipeline products.Responsible for payer contract analysis, communicating results & recommendations from analysis across therapeutic areas (Immunology, Migraine, Antipsychotic, GI, Women’s Health, Eye Care, HCV) to improve gross-to-net sales performance while ensuring the quality & accuracy of all analytical results, including: working closely with US Payer Account team to assess PBM, health plan, &/or medical benefit contracting opportunities for products for a national payer &  ~12 regional payers, performing data analysis and financial modeling to determine appropriate discounting for desired access for product, gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources & updating existing analysis tools & performance tracking dashboards, modeling  payer economics during deal negotiations to ensure that  proposed contract strategy meets internal financial benchmarks &  payer views are understood, & Interface with key customers to share results of pre- and post-contract analyses to influence decision-making.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or  foreign academic equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business Analytics or a highly related field of study, & 5 years of work experience in financial modeling &/ or data analytics in the pharmaceutical, health care or other industry that requires in-depth business/ data analytics.

Alternatively, would accept a Masters in the same disciplines & 3 years of work experience in financial modeling &/ or data analytics in the pharmaceutical, health care or other industry that requires in-depth business/ data analytics.

With either combination of education and work experience, must have:

1 year in each of the following:

(i)          programming in SAS, SQL, &/or Python performing data analysis & modeling, &          

utilizing Power BI to synthesize data, gain insights & inform strategy, &

3 years in each of the following:

managing complex data sets in Excel, using intermediate and advanced Excel skills including building & manipulating pivot tables, macros, & index match functions, &evaluating complex data sets, synthesizing outcomes, succinctly summarizing the analytical findings, preparing presentation decks using PowerPoint & orally delivering analysis and reporting for cross-functional teams & leadership

Work experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education and work experience is acceptable.


Additional Information

Salary Range: $138,715 - $173,500 per year.
