The Associate Manager of Supply Chain Network Optimization will work closely with the Sr. Manger, Supply Chain Optimization to support designing, modeling, and optimizing the supply chain network to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments to implement strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain performance and support business growth.
Responsibilities
Network Design and Optimization: Aids in the development and implementation of strategies to optimize the supply chain network, including sourcing, packaging, manufacturing, transportation and distribution. Data Analysis: Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance efficiency. Project Management: Lead supply chain optimization projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation. Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, finance, operations, and other departments to develop business cases and long-term capital expenditure programs. Process Improvement: Facilitate changes to internal processes, practices, and technologies to optimize performance and achieve organizational goals. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, methodologies, and outcomes. Performance Improvement: Provide structured and creative analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and effectively communicate findings with internal clients. Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analysis to support supply chain decision-making by senior management. Strategic Implementation: Support the implementation of strategic supply chain changes at a tactical level with Business Unit leadership teams. Savings Tracking: Manage tracking of savings opportunities and report on variances from projections. Customer Impact: Anticipate customers’ impact from changes; use pricing as mechanisms to affect change. Key Performance Levers: Understand key performance levers (cost-service trade-offs, on-time delivery, cost basis, feasibility, etc.) and implement solutions to improve these metrics. Team Collaboration: Partner with project team members to provide 360-degree feedback between supply chain modeling and execution. Team Leadership: Lead team weekly stand-up calls: establish agenda, facilitate, document key points and action items.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, management, operations, data science, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on network optimization and process improvement. Preferably, experience with multi-echelon inventory optimization and product flow path optimization. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management abilities, and effective communication and collaboration skills. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, data analysis and modeling techniques, and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, supply chain maps, etc.). Additional Skills: Experience in analyzing and profiling both source and transformed data, familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and/or strategic sourcing, and database (e.g., SQL Server) and data transformation (Alteryx, Databricks, and/or Data Guru) skills desired. Preferred Experience: Previous supply chain modeling/consulting experience, and PowerBI/Tableau, and understanding of transportation costs basis for various modes (truckload, LTL, parcel, intermodal, and ocean freight). Industry Experience: Experience in Consumer Goods preferred.
