Job Description:
Technical Publications is a unified team of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment. Managers provide oversight of the daily activities of a team of publications specialists. Successful manager will act as L3Harris technical interface to the customer and program management. Manager will provide direction, guidance, and mentoring to direct reports on the development and delivery of publications products.
Essential Functions:
+ Team leadership
+ Communication skills
+ Metrics collection and usage
+ Prior experience authoring, illustrated parts manuals/catalogs, in a Unstructured/Structured FrameMaker environment for military and/or civilian programs.
+ Staffing to include forecasting and hiring
+ Experience developing, monitoring, analyzing and taking action based on team operational metrics
+ Support of business development to include estimating as well as writing of subcontractor specs and statements of work, RFI/RFP responses and proposals
+ Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Office programs)
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
+ Ability to obtain TS/SCI
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 6 or more years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Technical publication authoring experience within structured authoring environments to include Unstructured and/or Structured FrameMaker.
+ Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
