Associate Manager - HSE
Support to the HSE Head, HSE Lead and Construction Head in establishing a safety function, processes, and guidelines from the scratch for the new business Taking lead to implement and establish HSE System within their area of control.   Help / provide inputs to HSE Lead & Construction leads in developing safety SOPs, system and processes.  Ensuring that all the safety measures are met and followed by contractor. Monitoring to ensure that all the safety aspect are handled as per safety policies and practices.  Support in preparing safety standards, guidelines and policies to be implemented at site promotes safe practices at the job site Responsible for meeting all safety standard requirements for record-keeping. Responds to employees' safety concerns Performs emergency response drills Oversee the process of HSE induction for new joiners Oversee tool-box meetings at work-fronts, organize specific HSE training sessions (in conjunction with the Head & Lead HSE ) Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.  Suggest hazard mitigation methods and ensure adherence to the same Training of staff in First Aid training and monitor first aid activities. identify training requirements for HSE engineers in coordination with Head HSE and Lead HSE. Organize & conduct site HSE Committee meetings. Prepare various MIS Reports Conduct Risk Assessment for construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning & startup activities to ensure safe execution.  Prepare Emergency Response & Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP) as per guidelines Evaluation & approve contractors & sub contractors HSE competencies & performance. Conduct routine inspections at work-fronts and inform of any unsafe / hazardous conditions to the responsible work-front supervisor / discipline engineer Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related area, with a Master's degree preferred. Full time course (One Year) in Industrial Safety from reputed college/Technical board of Education Experiences: 10-15 years of experience in Petrochemical /Oil & Gas Industry. Hands-on experience of handling oil & gas / petrochemical / chemical project of similar size and scale  Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as knowledge of codes, standards and various acts. Experience of audit and incident investigation.  Experience in conducting training and awareness session  Strong People Management skills along with exposure in managing teams
