Associate Manager - Immunology
We are seeking an **Associate Manager - Immunology** to join IQVIA Laboratories in **Valencia, CA** . As an Associate Manager - Immunology, you will supervise a team of laboratory staff and assist with the administration of laboratory testing in accordance with applicable regulations governing clinical laboratories. **What you’ll be doing:** + Supervise a team of lab staff and ensure effective operational delivery. + Set day-to-day operational activities for the team with a focus on daily delivery. + Hire, train, and manage the performance of staff under the mentorship of management. + Delegate tasks, provide technical skills training, and supervise daily activities. + Monitor inventory of reagents and supplies to ensure adequate levels for deliverables within budget. + Ensure team activities meet safety guidelines and drive individual accountability for safety. + Review laboratory metrics to identify and establish process improvement initiatives. + Partner with stakeholders on process improvement projects to meet goals. + Identify and evaluate vendor platforms to support initiative goals. + Act as a backup in any area of daily laboratory operations as needed. **What we are looking for:** + Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Typically requires over 5 years in a regulated environment and over 4 years in a relevant laboratory discipline. + Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others and navigate operational and people challenges. + Strong understanding of specific area of responsibility, operations, and methods. + Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. **The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks.
