Job SummaryThe Associate Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for specific product launches within the Home Appliances division across the Black and Decker, PowerXL, Emeril, and George Foreman brands. This role requires a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes to drive brand growth, increase market share, and achieve key business objectives. Reporting directly to the Senior Brand Manager, this role will also work to support the broader Home Appliances marketing team across a variety of key strategic initiatives.
Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Brand Manager is responsible for the execution of the marketing plans, business analysis and select product launches critical for driving business results.
Planning & Execution
Helps develop and execute marketing plans that deliver financial objectives and align with brand strategies Supports the execution of go-to-market plans by developing key launch assets, including in-store materials, A+ content, and other consumer-facing materials designed to drive consumer loyalty and product usage. Leads meetings with consumer affairs teams and develops comprehensive resource packages to facilitate product education prior to launch. These resources empower consumer affairs teams with the necessary information to effectively address consumer inquiries and provide exceptional product support. Actively participates in customer business planning process and collaborates with sales organization to ensure delivery of net sales and market share objectives Assist with the development of product materials, including presentations, sell sheets, heads to heads, and spec sheets to ensure we have a bank of resources for sell-in at key strategic customer meetings. Develops key assets and materials to ensure cross-functional teams are equipped with product knowledge and can consistently talk about our brands and products Supports creation of category and positioning information for cross-functional teams Works closely with Sales to identify opportunities and recommends appropriate action Works closely with New Product Development to ensure consumer needs are being met Leads select launches, customer-based projects, and brand-based projects which could include rapid market response projects.Analytical
Continuously evaluates and analyzes market condition and makes fact-based recommendations Assists with development of customer strategies and sell-in story & determining distribution and product fit within our current and future portfolioSupport
Keeps competitive portfolio updated and monitors competitive distribution by Analyzing market trends, industry trends, and competitor performance across key metrics (e.g., market share, distribution gains, new product launches, pricing). Oversee a creative tracker to ensure all product launches receive the necessary creative support for successful market introduction. Education and Experience Profile Bachelor’s Degree in Business/related field, MBA preferred Minimum 2+ years prior marketing experience with CPG or Durables company Direct experience in customer engagements, business case analysis, new product introduction Desired experience analyzing and utilizing syndicated research data (e.g. NPD or Nielsen) marketing research. Basic understanding of brand foundational tools and segmentation Strong presentation / communication skills Decisive, action-oriented individual with strong project management skills Travel up to 10% of the work time Required Skills Strategic Planning & Execution: Developing and executing effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
