Associate - Master Scheduler

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$57,750 - $129,800

The Supply Chain organization has responsibility for planning and scheduling Lilly RTP Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging operations.  The Master Scheduler is a key contact for planning and production information, purchasing input, and Quality material release prioritization occurring at Lilly RTP.  This role serves as an important hub for many cross functional departments at Lilly RTP and with the Corporate Global Supply Chain organization providing scheduling updates, issue resolution and inventory projections.

 

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for supporting start-up, qualification and validation of three new packaging lines occurring at Lilly RTP.  This includes working with engineering and project teams to develop production schedules and support pre-approval activities.  Upon agency approval commercial production responsibilities will include creating production schedules from offline and system driven demand and preparing various sets of data to support the Sales Inventory and Operations Plan (SI&OP) and other site production-related activities.


Responsibilities:

Safety & Quality

Maintain a safe workplace through proper ergonomic practices

Maintain a state of compliance and Inspection Readiness by maintaining a current training plan and SOP adherence, etc.

 

Planning/Scheduling

Align and optimize short- and long-term production plans considering Operations capacity constraints while meeting inventory targets for packaged finished goods.

Prepare and present data for Process Teams, Flow Teams and SI&OP.

Actively participate as a member of the Process Team, collaborating with Operations to resolve challenges, unplanned production issues and schedule line downtime for continuous improvement activities and other project work.

Timely manage past due process orders and SAP planning parameters

Serve as a central point of contact for all schedule related communication in the Process Team and represent supply chain at Flow and Lead Team meetings as required

Work with Purchasing to ensure component availability to meet the production plan

Work closely with Incoming Quality Assurance to ensure materials are released and available for production schedules

Work closely with Batch Disposition and Inventory Management to ensure completed orders are released for market supply per targets from Corporate Global Supply Chain direction.

Work with Inventory Management/Site Coordinator to manage labeling changes while minimizing obsolescence

Customer Service

Collaborate with cross functional teams to assure production plans are achievable

Work closely with Global Supply Chain to align plans that support market supply needs oftentimes requiring frequent changes.

Support other Operations areas and Master Schedulers as needed

Plan for alternate demands into the production schedule to meet site project and continuous improvement needs

 

SAP knowledge & Metrics

Use SAP S4 Hana and APO planning processes and functionality to create production schedules

Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) as well as processing of exception messages

Maintain and create SAP master data resulting from change control activities or DSP (Data Steward Platform) tasks

Ensure planning parameters are maintained and appropriate

Analyze and present OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence) metrics

Work with stakeholders to improve plant supply chain processes and performance

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, or other technical field of study

5 years experience

Additional Preferences:

Knowledge / Experience in Manufacturing, Packaging

Previous SAP and APO experience

Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Customer oriented

Excellent Computer skills (e.g., MPS, MRP, SAP, APO, Excel)


Additional Information:

8-hour days - Monday through Friday.

Off hours work may be required to respond and support Operational issues of a 24 hr, 7 day high volume facility

Minimal travel required (10%)
