Job Summary:

The associate material specialist will support the localization of spare prats by assisting in supplier research, cost analysis, and inventory optimization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to build expertise in supply chain management, procurement, and supplier relations while contributing to cost reduction and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

Assist in identifying and researching local suppliers for spare parts.Maintain supplier databases, track certification, and update contact information.Support senior team members in supplier audits and capability assessments.Collect and analyze procurement data (costs, lead times, supplier performance).Prepare reports comparing localized vs. imported parts using Excel.Track cost-saving initiatives and update dashboards for team view.Process purchase orders for localized spare parts under supervision.Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status and resolve minor delays.Assist in documenting quality requirements and verifying supplier compliance.Log defects or non-conformities and escalate issues to senior staff.Monitor stock levels of localized parts and flag shortages or excess inventory.Update inventory record in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, and Maximo) with accuracy.Work with procurement, engineering, and maintenance teams to gather part specifications.Ensure proper documentation of contracts, invoices, and quality certifications.

What To Bring:

College graduated in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field.0-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.Internship or coursework in supplier management, logistics, or data analysis are a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft officeFamiliarity with ERP systems (SAP, Maximo and etc.).Basic understanding of total cost of ownership concepts.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes.Available to work all shifts (i.e.,  1st ,  2nd ,and 3rd shift), weekends and holidays as required by management.Always keep learning.
