Job Title: Associate Med Tech

Job Description

Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment. Analyze test results to ensure conformity to specifications using specialized mechanical and electrical devices. Gather, record, and analyze test data to issue reports utilizing charts, graphs, and narratives. Obtain specimens, cultivate, isolate, and identify microorganisms for analysis. Examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities and consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment.Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications using special mechanical and electrical devices.Gather, record, and analyze test data to issue reports with charts, graphs, and narratives.Obtain specimens, cultivate, isolate, and identify microorganisms for analysis.Examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities.Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.Essential SkillsVerbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Basic knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.0-2 years experience required.ASCP certified or eligible.Experience performing differentials, Complete Blood Counts (CBCs), and troubleshooting lab instruments.Ability to work independently in a clinical lab space.Hematology/Oncology experience.Comfortable traveling to different client sites and being in a client-facing role.Experience with urinalysis and urinalysis with microscopy.Additional Hematology/Coagulation experience, including differentials, is a plus.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4:30/5 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00
