Job Description
Join our leading health care diagnostics and drug development company as an Associate Med Tech III. You will be part of the Targeted Cell Isolation Team at our central laboratory for testing services and bioanalysis services. The main function of this role is to perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, working under the supervision of a medical technologist.
ResponsibilitiesSet up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment.Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.Analyze, gather, and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs, and narratives.Examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities.Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using a microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into the computer.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.Experience in sample processing and pipetting.Attention to detail and familiarity with computer systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsASCP or AMT certification.Prior medical lab experience.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.Must pass a standardized color vision screen.Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.Work Environment
This is an onsite position at our Indianapolis facility. The schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, and the shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
