Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/MLS personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Or National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Or National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Or National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Or National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Or National Laboratory Tech - United States Government within 6 months (180 days) of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program. 1 year of experience
