About the Team PetSmart’s Canada Home Office (CHO) is home to approximately 50+ associates who work in departments such as Merchandising, Marketing, Demand Planning, Pricing, Space Planning, Digital/e-Commerce, Human Resources, Legal, IT and more. The small but mighty team at the CHO supports the operations of 160+ PetSmart stores in Canada and works closely with counterparts at PetSmart’s global corporate headquarters located in Phoenix, Arizona. We also share the Canada Home Office with our colleagues at PetSmart Charities of Canada—an independent, registered charity. About the Location This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a workspace at the Canada Home Office and can be required to come onsite around 3 days a week, as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the Job The Associate Manager (13 Month Contract) is responsible for managing the execution of national promotions in support of PetSmart’s advertising campaigns. This role will manage promotional elements for all planner periods including, but not limited to, sign kit, circular, affiliate, TV and Radio. This position will require someone who is a task master and process guru, and someone who can ensure multiple promotional elements are executed flawlessly, while managing multiple planner periods at one time. Extreme attention to detail & communication across multiple business units is critical for success in this role. The Associate Marketing Manager (13 Month Contract) reports to the Senior Manager - National Promotions & Loyalty. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: Promotional sign kits – Planner & Weekend Event Based signs Event Based Circulars/Flyer Financial roll ups Circular space allocation based on financial metrics & guardrails Single point of contact for all promotional advertising from start to finish Timeline management and tracking for all planner periods Legal substantiation for all promotional claims Account contact and manager for digital circular execution with agency Plan, draft, and traffic scripts for digital & radio Brief promotional video spots to creative agencies & manage/traffic broadcast TV Ensures proper use of trademarks and disclaimers in promotional advertising Creative review board representative managing changes to circular & sign kit Primary liaison for pricing and legal implications to promotional vehicles Lead the strategy and execution for the affiliate channel Ongoing process improvement & refinement Budget Forecasting and Maintenance: Invoice processing and accruals, forecasting, monthly balancing Collaborate within the marketing team, cross functional teams and external agency partners to ensure seamless, executional excellence of plans and programs Supports Sr. Manager on enterprise initiatives Manages any other miscellaneous responsibilities assigned to support the team in a changing environment EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree from four year university in Marketing, Business Administration or related field 3-5 years experience in Marketing and/or Promotions KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES Detail oriented task master Exceptional project management skills to ensure flawless execution & on-time delivery Excel guru Ability to multi-task and stay unruffled in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment Ability to effectively collaborate across marketing & merchandising functions Prefer someone with an understanding of EMS/AMS About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
