Position Summary
The Associate Navigator will be responsible for ensuring a smooth experience for patients and families in the WPH Emergency Department. He/she will be responsible for rounding on all ED patients, problem solving, working with the clinical team to anticipate and escalate issues, and serving as a communicator between clinicians and patient/families.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
2. Work with the ED Registration Team to ensure a seamless welcoming experience for ED patients and caregivers
3. Round on and meets patient needs as applicable, in conjunction with appropriate staff
4. Assist with test results or patient needs that can be expedited
5. Use appropriate judgement to escalate issues as needed
6. Support family members by acting as a liaison between patients and clinical staff
7. Support Nursing and Nurse Techs as needed
8. Utilize Raisers Edge/Readiness Rounds for tracking patients and visits.
9. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
ï‚· Bachelor degree preferred
ï‚· Hospital Experience required
ï‚· Executive presence with warm, inviting patient centered attitude.
ï‚· Knowledge of or experience at White Plains hospital a plus
ï‚· Second language is a plus.
