Associate Overhaul Engineering Technician

Position Objective Contribute to the growth and success of Solar’s Overhaul business by providing technical support to Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Production, Tooling, Warehousing and Logistics in fulfillment of critical customer and business requirements. This may include areas such as: material rejects and repairs, publications and reports (OIS, ECR, OTL, etc.), tool crib management, supplier technical engineering issue resolution, BIQ and Closed Loop Corrective Action, and change management administration. Dimensions Recognized as knowledgeable and experienced in turbomachinery assembly practices and functions, with little to no prior technical/engineering support experience. The incumbent is able to follow established procedures under the direction of higher-level Supplier Technical Engineering Technician or Mabank Warehouse Management and use problem solving skills to develop solutions to problems of limited scope. Nature and Scope This position reports to The Mabank Warehouse Operations Manager but may be assigned specific duties related to a department or area. Due to frequent interaction with internal and external customers, excellent face to face customer service skills is essential. Strong collaboration with Production Technicians and other Engineering Technicians is required to ensure assignments and responsibilities are carried out in an effective and timely manner. Additionally, knowledge of turbomachinery parts and processes, as well as basic skills in Baan, SFIS, MS Office, Windchill are required. Principal Accountabilities Principal accountabilities may include, but are not limited to the following: + Support documentation for material rejects and repairs + Support reject material disposition and movement of nonconforming material + Monitor disassembly and shop repairs to ensure safety and quality of part removal processes + Carry out CPECC process and complete documentation + Support Customer Witness and Failure Analysis for rejected material + Perform visual and dimensional inspections of critical components per Engineering requirements + Support small PDCA or A3 projects within group + Reporting and management of internal and supplier quality issues + Quality liaison for process partner relationships (Turbotec, TMO, Zatec, etc.) + Manage and improve quality metrics for corrective actions associated with RN’s, QA’s, etc. + Create and maintain QMS documentation (process maps, work instr., guidance notes) + Verify and process tool requests + Request and process supplier quotes and invoices for rejected material + Maintain tooling records and metrics in various tooling systems Qualifications Minimum: + High school education or equivalent + Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written) + Proficient at using precision measuring devices + 4+ years turbomachinery experience + 2+ years experience working in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment. + Basic computer and camera skills **Summary Pay Range:** $58,556.00 - $87,834.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
