Growing together.** **Primary Responsibilities:** + Receives incoming telephone calls in a prompt and courteous manner working with multiple phone lines and provide telephonic patient outreach and patient experience calls + Have consistent, punctual and reliable attendance + Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality and care and concern with each and every internal and external customer + Represents the Company in a professional manner, following all Company policies and procedures + Uses, protects, and discloses patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards + Responsible for accurately and professionally handling all front desk operations including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling of all appointments, EOD Billing, addressing routine inquiries, working daily reports, and forwarding non-routine requests to appropriate personnel + Performs clerical duties as directed + Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies + Supports and follows Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) + Building referrals in EMR systems + Updates and maintains ECW with all patient changes + Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule) + Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in timely manner + Processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc. + Ability to work independently + Performs all other related duties as assigned You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** + High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of customer service experience + 1+ years of data entry and customer service experience with strong communication skills both in person and via phone + 1+ year of experience/working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology + Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Word, and Outlook **Preferred Qualification:** + Experience in a physician’s office, clinical or hospital setting + Ability to display excellent telephone/switchboard etiquette + Ability to interact and verbally communicate effectively with patients and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous and effective manner with excellent customer service skills + Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment with good organizational skills + Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with general guidance + Demonstrated clerical skills (typing, filing, telephone courtesy) + Bilingual (English/Spanish) language proficiency _At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
