Under moderate supervision, answers a multi-incoming computerized PBX system and directs calls to the appropriate extension, department or individual. Responsible for monitoring and responding appropriately to medical emergency alarms, fire and equipment failure.

Employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate with and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Age-specific needs that the employee is required to know and understand will be reviewed and evaluated during job specific/department specific orientations and on-going thereafter

Experience in healthcare environment. One (1) year computerized switchboard experience.
