One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking an Associate PCM Test Operator Systems Engineer / PCM Test Operator Systems Engineer to join our team and develop these technologies into high-performance computing systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Support test operations and test development activities by ensuring that the labs and systems are test ready, specifically for superconducting electronics test environments.Responsible for coordination and control of program assets and maintenance, to include: calibration activities, consumables, and general upkeep of cryogenic test systems.Candidate will be point of contact for all manner of installations, repairs and deliveries of test equipment and test systems.This position will serve on-site at our Advanced Technologies Laboratory located in Linthicum, MD.

Basic Qualifications for Associate PCM Test Operator Systems Engineer:
Completed Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 6 months of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree or PhD in a STEM field with 0 months of experience.Experience with data acquisition and data pipeline codebases and electronics.Experience supporting the general upkeep of electrical test labs and systems.Experience with interfacing with hardware instrumentation such as a DMM, Source Meter, and/or other hardware instrumentation.Experience in developing and contributing to a larger scale software project.Proficiency writing code in MATLAB and Python in a version-controlled environment.This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.Basic Qualifications for PCM Test Operator Systems Engineer:

Experience in electronic testing equipment and associated test platforms.Familiarity working with cryogens, Liquid Helium and Nitrogen.Ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements.Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.Salary Range: $68,800.00 - $103,200.00Salary Range 2: $83,300.00 - $124,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
