**A Brief Summary of This Position:**
Under the direction of the People Resource Center Manager, this associate specialist position is accountable for leading the day-to-day administration for the benefits and retirement functional areas. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the various benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, state leaves, FMLA, disability, military leave, paid and unpaid time off, COBRA, flexible spending accounts, ACA, 401k (VERSP) plan, well-being (physical, emotional, and financial), HR policies, and new hire activity compliance. This role directs and serves as the main contact for the People Resource Center.
**Essential Functions:**
+ This position reports to the Manager People Resource Center with no direct or indirect reports.
+ This role requires up to 5% domestic travel.
+ Flexible schedule with the ability to work in office 3 days a week.
+ Support collaboration efforts across all segments of the organization.
+ Act as the first line of support for employee questions concerning various benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, state leaves, FMLA, disability, military leave, paid and unpaid time off, COBRA, flexible spending accounts, ACA, 401k (VERSP) plan, well-being (physical, emotional, and financial), HR policies, and new hire activity compliance.
+ Assist with the communication and execution of HR/Benefit programs, policies, procedures, and training to enhance the overall employee experience.
**Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):**
+ Preferred Bachelors in relevant field or Associates degree with 3+ years of experience or 5+ years of relevant quality experience.
+ Strong MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
+ Ability to prioritize and communicate priorities.
+ Decisive problem-solving skills.
+ The ability to work collaboratively with others as a team player
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Must be a self-starter.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
**Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
+ Data analytic skills.
+ Advanced Excel experience.
+ Working knowledge of various benefit plans, insurance and federal compliance regulations (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ADAAA and others).
**Working Environment and Physical Efforts:**
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Up to 5% travel requirements (domestic) for this position. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
