Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking an entry level technical individual to be part of our Power Generation team. Rotational Engineering Development Initiative (REDI) Associate PGD Engineer shall be provided the opportunity to rotate through several teams within the Power Generation Division for up to 24-month period (minimum of 18-months), working on various projects related to the support and operation of power generation systems.  This individual will also gain exposure to different functions and departments within the division. These rotations will be based throughout the US so long-term travel and flexibility is a must.    

Responsibilities 

Participate in rotational program that includes a minimum of five 3-5 month assignments in different locations and areas of the Power Generation Division. 

Apply engineering principles and methods to solve technical problems and improve existing products and processes. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentors to learn from their expertise and feedback. 

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 

Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations. 

 

Engineer should be highly motivated with a strong bias for action and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.  Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required. 

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) 

Experience: 0+ years 

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 

Ability to work independently and in teams. 

Flexibility and willingness to relocate and travel as required by the rotational program. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
