Join the most creative and talented photography studio in Austin as an Associate Photo Stylist. At Four Hands, we are looking for a passionate individual to contribute to our Creative Services team within Marketing. This role involves styling and assisting in styling product, vignette, and room photography, both in studio and on location. As an Associate Photo Stylist, you will help showcase Four Hands products in aesthetically pleasing, inspirational settings that highlight their features and benefits, while providing context and scale for our customers and theirs.
In This Role\nCollaborate closely with photo stylists, photographers, and the director of photography to assist in styling and arranging product photography and video shoots \nWork both in studio bays and on location to create visually appealing setups that align with the creative vision \nMaintain an organized and clean studio environment, including the upkeep of props and styling tools \nTake responsibility for the care and arrangement of plants and florals used in shoots \nOrganize, store, and manage studio spaces to ensure a well-functioning workspace \nHandle various errands outside the studio, such as purchasing food props, sourcing materials for set design, and picking up necessary styling tools \nEngage in vintage and antique shopping to find unique props that add character and storytelling elements to the scenes \nPrepare soft goods for photography by steaming or ironing, ensuring they are photo-ready \nCollaborate with the production team to plan for the inclusion of appropriate furniture and accessories in each styling setup \nPre-plan and execute creative setups that align with the overall art direction and aesthetic goals \nWork closely with the Manager of Production Design and Styling to report progress and receive guidance \nSource inspiration and imagery that aligns with the desired art direction and contribute ideas for creative styling \nUphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands team \nOther tasks as defined by Management \n
The Ideal Person\n1+ year experience styling product and/or room photography \nBachelor’s Degree in fine art, interior design, or equivalent creative experience in a relevant field \nProficiency in basic computer applications, including email, spreadsheets, and presentation tools like PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Figma \nA strong understanding of artistic composition principles, including visual balance and contrast \nThe ability to source and curate set design inspiration that aligns with specific art direction \nA foundational understanding of interior and set design principles \nAbility to plan and execute creative concepts that are consistent with the desired creative direction \nPhysical capability to work on foot for extended periods (up to 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with breaks), adapting to a dynamic studio environment \nHas a valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle\n
