What is the opportunity?

The Associate Portfolio Manager assists the Investment Grade Portfolio Managers with the day-to-day management of Investment Grade portfolios for BlueBay Fixed Income.  They analyze designated alpha sources to provide investment recommendations and generate alpha for portfolios.

This role is based in Stamford, CT, USA.

What will you do?

Monitoring the levels of exposure and checking funds are within their specific guidelines, flagging issues to the Portfolio Managers and liaising with Investment Control & Compliance.Ensuring accurate hedging of funds and checking interest rate duration is in line across funds and consistent with the Portfolio Managers’ views.Inputting trades into Charles River and Bloomberg ensuring all orders are booked accurately prior to execution.Rebalancing funds for subscriptions and redemptions.Updating daily performance file in liaison with Finance team; checking daily pricing and liaise with Pricing team.Checking and preparing month end data for marketing team.Liaising with Operations and Trade Execution on any trade queries (e.g.  on settlement or price issues).Support the maintenance of systems, databases and tools for credit analysis.

Must-have bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of relatable experience for Associate Portfolio Manager role.Capacity to present/communicate materials in a way that facilitates decision making and drives outcomes.Solid analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skillsHigh standards of performance for self and strives to meet challenging objectives.  Acts with integrity and within both the spirit and the letter of BlueBay's principles, policies, and procedures.  A positive and energetic attitude gets involved and proactively seeks out opportunities to advance the business.Resilience and remains calm and professional under pressure. Good rapport building skills and able to maintain good relationships and works effectively and cooperatively with others.Smart ideas to raise personal and team standards. The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $85,000 - $150,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.  This salary range does not include other elements that comprise our total compensation package, which includes the following: commission sharing eligibility for select roles, a discretionary bonus, a paid time-off plan, our 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, and our health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
