Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a high-caliber, Associate Principal, Architect to join our Living Practice Group practice.  They will be a part of the team, helping to win, design and mentor a team of architects on multi-family, hospitality and mixed-use projects. 

Role accountabilities:

Work with the Practice Group Manager, Living to grow the multi-family and hospitality practice in the regionLeverage your existing experience and relationships with the national and global experience of the firm to grow your respective marketDevelop and maintain key relationships within our internal organizationLead and facilitate cross-sector / discipline / office efforts through collaboration and the development of inter-office relationshipsDevelop and grow client relationships primarily in Urban Mixed-Use development, high rise residential, hospitality and commercial office sectors, primarily in the areaDevelop and maintain key contacts in that industryWrite and Review proposalsLead and foster client relationships and project presentationsInspire confidence as a subject matter expert in the Living Practice GroupProvide high level guidance to achieve a trusted partner status with clientsHands-on involvement and leadership with project design, coordination, preparation, and delivery of project documentMotivate, mentor, and delegate work to team members

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Architectural Degree from an accredited program, Masters’ degree is preferredLicensed Architect with current registrationAbility to think strategically and with an equal interest in business and practice issues with a minimum of 12 years of experienceExisting relationships in the following private sectors; mixed use residential, commercial, hospitality, and retailExperience with large complex projects within a large multi-disciplinary practiceStrategic thinking leadership skills, with an ability to connect business with practiceComprehensive understanding of project coordination and related requirements of all disciplines, under demanding deadlinesProject experience and familiarity in software programs such as Revit and CAD are requiredDemonstrate creativity, passion and interest in design
