In this role, you will assist in gathering, writing, and editing content for the station's daily programming. As an Associate Producer, you will collaborate closely with Executive Producers and Producers to determine content needs, develop content for multiple platforms, and execute time-sensitive decisions. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Work closely with Executive Producers and Producers to determine content needs.

Assist in the development of content for multiple platforms in AP and broadcast style.

Execute time sensitive decisions.

Write clearly for multiple platforms.

Edit video for multiple platforms.

Post content to station's websites.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

BS/BA in related  discipline preferred, or equivalent years of  experience

No prior experience required

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, storytelling abilities, and news judgment

Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Proficiency in computer-based editing, Final Cut Pro and basic computer skills including MS Office

Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under deadlines

Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws

Flexible work hours may be required, including overnights, holidays, weekends and evenings
