National Interstate is looking for an Associate Product Analyst to join their team. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Richfield Ohio office.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Assists with developing new products and solutions to boost premium volume growth and maintain the competitiveness and profitability of existing products.Supports comprehensive market research efforts to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape.Collaborates with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to assist with designing innovative insurance solutions and contributing to product specifications, pricing strategies, and policy language.Assists with analyzing market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements, improvements, and new product development.Contributes to developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps to achieve business goals. Assists with conducting SWOT analysis to evaluate product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.Assists with creating product and rate revisions, underwriting guidelines, manuals, and procedures.Participates in working with marketing, business development, and insurance operations teams to support successful product launches and ongoing product maintenance.May participate in developing trainings regarding new products and product changes to internal teams and agents.Performs other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.Experience: Generally, a minimum of 6 months of related underwriting or product experience. Beginning or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS), Associate of Risk Management (ARM), Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) or other applicable designations. Scope of Job/Qualifications: Developing technical knowledge of insurance products and lines of business. Develops and maintains knowledge of industry laws and regulations. Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions. Demonstrates decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset. Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to build relationships. Position may require occasional travel.
