Position Overview:
The Commercial Zero Turn Associate Product Management role is responsible for the product roadmap, feature definition and overseeing a product throughout its lifecycle. They partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet customer and business needs and align back to the overall brand and category strategy. Product Management collaborates with designers, engineers, marketing and sales teams to design and build products that service the needs of our end user, align to relevant CTQ’s and carry a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Additionally, they conduct market research and communicate with external stakeholders to get feedback and relay important information. Product Management also manages resource planning and works with operations and engineering to drive Design to Value (DTV), productivity and cost reduction. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Product Management team in the creation and maintenance of major product lines in multiple retail, commercial and industrial settings.
Description:
The Associate Product Manager will assist in evaluating and developing product line total sales and product positioning. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to effectively work with others across the organization including product managers, brand marketing, IT, engineering and customer service. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic that have experience with managing the complete life cycle of products, conducting market research, and a strong financial acumen.
Major Responsibilities:
With guidance, manages the complete product lifecycle process from concept to delivery for our commercial line of zero turn mowers.Closely collaborate with and lead cross-department teams and business groups, such as engineering, manufacturing and finance to drive and develop new products that meet company objectives together with the Product Management team.Work in tandem with the brand marketing and channel teams to develop product launch programs and sales promotion programs.Develop and implement relevant marketing collateral, point-of-purchase displays, advertising materials and web content to promote your managed product portfolio.Conduct end-user and competitive market research to determine pricing, margin and profitability targets.Develop and execute comprehensive short and long-term strategic plans for a profitable retail and industrial product portfolio.Maintain an awareness of trends in the industry and related industries to develop a deep understanding of the end users of their product line to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches.Validation of Product CTQs, Testing & Claims with End UsersProvide product training to internal and external stakeholders.Learns and applies SBD and industry standard Product Development protocol.Supports specials projects as assignedCore Qualifications:
BS or BA in Markeng, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field, and or combination of relevant education/experience.0-3 years of Product Management experienceAbility to work effectively across functions and lead teams.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Demonstrated problem solving, research, and analytical skills.Exceptional attention to detailExperience using various computer applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and othertions in the Microsoft Office Suite.Must have a “can-do” attitude – the desire to go above and beyond in all you do!Travel may be requiredRole is Hybrid with 3 days per week in Office (Valley City, OH)Preferred Qualifications:
