Department Brief:
Product Management is at the heart of what makes FactSet the right solution for our clients. Since our inception, our product developers have been responsible for driving the delivery of products that supply financial data, analytics, and trading solutions for thousands of financial professionals around the globe. Job Responsibilities:
Team Member Growth - Coach and mentor team members on effective Product Management and Delivery skill and competencies
• Assess skills / competencies and define growth plans for team members; regularly assess progress and empower professional development
• Lead onboarding, professional development, and performance review process for early career product managers and new hires, with support from PM Excellence and Learning & Development Partner.
• Develops quarterly skill development plan
• Provide agile product management guidance
• In collaboration with Product Management Excellence, identify training needs and create solutions for developing specialized PM skills across the team.
• Help team members problem-solve specific tasks and prioritize with common frameworks.
• Give prompt and candid feedback to team members
Career Progression
• Identifies candidates ready for progression and aligns with leaders in the department for opportunity and fit
Product Management & Delivery Optimization
• Identify and represent the challenges and championing the wins of their direct reports.
• Partner with Product Managers on resource needs and skill requirements that are needed to deliver the product roadmap. Work with PMs to match employee talent with product support and development needs.
• Drive a product optimization and usability focus by tracking and experimenting with solutions to achieve measurable improvement in the customer experience. Include Product Specialists in this process as a learning and collaboration exercise.
• Do whatever it takes to help the team bring products to market quickly. Identify bottlenecks and keep stakeholders informed and aligned throughout the development process.
Desired Skills/Background:
• Comfortable interfacing with multiple teams and stakeholders (internal and external)
• Exceptional collaboration, organizational & communication skills
• An ability to recognize change and adapt accordingly
• Ability to manage complexity and build trust and credibility with senior leaders and key stakeholders
• Knowledge or experience with financial services platforms including CapIQ, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters - preferred
• Experience in agile development and JIRA is strongly preferred
• Possesses a product mindset. Starts from problems, goals and needs, and then experiments to uncover the best solution.
• Familiarity with agile business practices and techniques, and an understanding of how team goals intersect with individual goals.
Qualification Required:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM, finance, economics, or other relevant fieldAt least 5+ years of experience in Product Management, or overall experience can be 8+ years would do.Management experience in a product-led SaaS organization, preferably in financial services.Possesses a product mindset.
