Associate Product Manager - Rough Plumbing
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a specialized search firm, seeking a Associate Product Manager for a critical role within Marketing and within the company overall, influencing all aspects of product marketing to support the company’s growth objectives. The person in this role reports to the Product Manager – Fashion Plumbing and works side by side, professionally and seamlessly, with other Marketing professionals, including other Project Managers, Marketing Managers/Specialists, Project Managers, and Designers as well as other departments, especially with Sales, Supply Chain, Business Intelligence/Sales Support, and Sourcing/Quality Assurance. Responsibilities Across Market Segments/Sales Channels Develop detailed knowledge of product lines, both internal and competitive, and their unique benefits/selling propositions Collect, analyze, and summarize competitive information including product offerings, specifications, pricing, distribution, and promotional activity Identify market opportunities by assessing customer needs and competitive strengths/weaknesses, monitor and analyze market trends Establish requirements and determine specifications for existing and new products Lead SKU rationalization in collaboration with other key stakeholders Assist in product testing to validate features from factory, check product quality measurements such as flow rates, and other data as needed. Develop metrics with the Product Management Team to assess the success of products and identify needed features Identify opportunities for product improvements to increase sales or improve profitability Communicate effectively with factory personnel and  China Quality Control team to answer product related questions quickly and efficiently Extract and deliver product data to support Senior Management team requests Contribute to the packaging artwork & instruction manual development Work with other members of the Marketing team to develop and implement product launch plans to build awareness of new product introductions Assemble product presentations, samples, mock-ups, competitive comparisons, and other materials as needed to arm Sales with the tools to ensure success Serve as the product “expert”, supporting Customer Service and Sales as a knowledgeable resource to answer questions about product design and function, as well as the benefits of product features Own the product details and specifications to ensure all information in the PIM and Marketing Center is complete, thorough, and accurate so one source of product truth exists in the company Help manage and maintain the product hierarchy/taxonomy for organization of product catalogs, the company website, and the online marketing center Assist in the development of category standards and attributes to support rich, consistent content on all digital and print endpoints Deliver product marketing projects on schedule and to high quality standards Track and report status of projects using the company’s project management tools
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, product design, engineering, or business administration 2+ years product marketing experience Experience working with Consumer Products sold at retail and rough plumbing product lines highly desired Generally, a ‘handy’ person that enjoys learning how things work and fixing or repairing issues around the home.

Preferred Skills Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and InDesign, familiarity beneficial Salsify expertise or other Product Information Management software Power BI knowledge a plus
Additional Notes Responsibilities may sometimes require working evenings and weekends Limited travel required
