Associate Professor in Rhetoric and Composition/Director of the Writing Center The Department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition (https://artsandsciences.syracuse.edu/writing-studies-rhetoric-and-composition/) at Syracuse University invites applications for an Associate Professor in rhetoric and composition who would also serve as the Director of our Writing Center. This full-time, tenured position carries a 2-2 teaching load, with one course per semester reassigned for administrative responsibilities (effective load of 1-1). Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition, or related field; they should also possess demonstrable expertise in Writing Center scholarship and administration. Advanced assistants will be considered. We are open with respect to secondary areas. Potential areas of specialization include (but are not limited to): composition studies, anti-racist pedagogies, multilingual writing, research in writing across the curriculum/writing in the disciplines, and/or community literacies.
