This is a tenured (9-month) faculty position. Primary duties will include teaching of face-to-face and online undergraduate courses, online graduate courses, and hybrid doctoral courses. Duties also include serving on departmental, university, and professional committees including dissertation committees. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
The College of Arts & Sciences is the largest and most comprehensive academic college with over 100 faculty. For highly productive research faculty, course releases are available.Tenure will only be granted after approval of The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field. While all specializations will be considered, candidates with expertise in cybercrime, courts, homeland security, trafficking, immigration and crime, and qualitative research methods are especially encouraged to apply. We strongly encourage candidates with strong research skills, a strong publication record in peer-reviewed (commensurate to the rank of a tenured professor), the potential for or prior experience with seeking and/or securing external grant funding, at least 5 years of full-time teaching experience at a university setting, and the ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen our undergraduate and graduate programs.
