The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas is hiring a 12-month tenure or non-tenure track assistant/associate professor for the master’s entry level respiratory care program. Position duties include development and delivery of didactic and laboratory courses online and in person.
UTMB is part of a large academic health science center and the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the U.S. UTMB has a newly openedHealth Education Center (HEC)which is currently the largest simulation and collaborative facility in the region. The HEC is a 5 story, state-of-the art, 77-bed simulation facility that is focused on interprofessional education. UTMB is also home of the Galveston National Laboratory and presents unique opportunities for collaborative research. The Respiratory Care program is also able to collaborate with the Translational ICU that is a service center utilizing an ovine model to study translational approaches to the treatment of critical illnesses requiring intensive care.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Master’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Doctoral Degree (PhD, EdD, DHSc) in a respiratory care, health care related, or education field.
+ 2 years of teaching experience.
+ Clinical or research interests.
**SALARY:**
Commensurate with experience.
