Job DescriptionPerformance Contracting is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing employee-owned organization as an Associate Project Engineer for its PCI Houston based in Houston, TX.
The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.
Job responsibilities include:
Conduct safety meetingsCreate and manage punch listsSupport the Quality Control Measures outlined in the QA/QC programPrepare RFI’s and submittalsLabor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenanceQuantitative takeoffs for material orderingSupport the implementation of the job scheduleCoordinate warranties and O&M’sMaterial coordination with purchase orders and invoicing RequirementsBasic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Construction Science, or comparable work experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordA clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawingsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taughtCustomer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationshipsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitaskMotivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiativeWorks well under pressure and deadlinePreferred Requirements:
