Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.This position requires employees to work on-site and is based in Mebane, NC. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in North America. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPerforming survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.•\tExercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.•\tAssisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.•\tParticipating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications for the roleBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 1 year of engineering experience. Candidates with no degree but 5+ years experience in project engineering role will also be considered. Experience working with NEMA equipment, Experience with Electrical Distribution.Experience working with 3D Modeling software and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is required. Must be fluent in English.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
