Job Description

Are you an Associate Project Manager looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last? 

If so, we are looking for an experienced Associate Project Manager to join our team in Belfast to work on a number of private and public sector projects. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

We are an industry leader in program management and construction management services for large capital programs and oversee activities ranging the full life-cycle of a project.  The project management team serves both private and public clients in a wide range of sectors. We believe that project management is first and foremost about providing our clients with certainty of outcomes. We look beyond the traditional time, cost, quality view of project delivery and look to understand what is truly important to our clients and how we can better service them. 
Our team has increased demand for individuals with front end design experience and contract administration experience.  We are looking for confident and ambitious individuals that can demonstrate a balanced, robust and reasonable approach to design, procurement and delivery.

Job Responsibilities: 
You will need to manage and take ownership of all aspects of the project, proactively engaging with the client, construction and design team to drive the project forward.  You will be required to prepare succinct and accurate reports that look forward and identify clear actions and recommendations.  When managing a contract, you will be required to positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to address risks and avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising and form an informed and balanced opinion having due regard to the building contract. You will also be involved in the development of less experienced team members supporting them in becoming professionally qualified.

QualificationsExcellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skillsHighly motivated, able to work independently, diligent and with an eye for detailExperience in NEC contract administrationStrong in setting up and implementing robust Project Management processesDemonstrate financial acumen relating to viability and cashflows Ability to produce formal reports and documents which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications :

Professional Qualification – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Bachelors DegreeChartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution APM affiliation (as secondary accreditation)
