Job Description

Associate QA Analyst will be responsible for the testing and quality assurance of a responsive website. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: planning, managing, maintaining, coordinating and executing the test scripts for a site redesign.

Day to day includes:

Implement test plans within current guidelines by analyzing project requirement documents. Review project documentation for all assigned projects to ensure that the project requirements are clearly definedWork with applications designed / developed with Java and Web ServicesPrepare test plan documents and write test proceduresDesigns, develops, tests, maintains and executes scripts across different test environments for consistency. Ability to execute test cases manually based on business requirementsTo fulfill this role, the individual applies appropriate technologies to meet the short and long-term goals of the testing organizationWork with requirements teams to define test cases and maintain traceabilityReport defects and escalate issues as neededWork closely with software development team to reproduce and debug issues.Demonstrate ownership and accountability through self-directed task managementAbility to evaluate and communicate risk levels, and use those assessments to execute tests effectively with abbreviated timelinesProduce status reports as required including use of dashboards for executive summaryCommunicate risk to project timeline to program management and teamMotivated Team player, with very strong analytical, diagnostic and debugging skillsGood oral communication and writing skills

QualificationsAble to work independently and in a fast paced environment2-4 years of hands-on experience with quality assuranceRecent experience testing responsive web experiencesUnderstanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in agile / iterative environmentsRequirements analysis and test cases creation with thorough coverageManual test execution as requiredDefect Management and reportingSome understanding of Jenkins, GITFollow Agile methodologyAbility to excel in team oriented environmentStrong communication skills

Nice to haves:

Experience with the following tools; Jenkins, JIRA, Test Management ToolFamiliarity or knowledge of test automation tools (e.g. HP Quality Center, Quick Test Professional (QTP), WinRunner, Selenium) or frameworks and use of those tools to execute / create / maintain / debug automation scripts and their resultsAdheres to development standards, software development lifecycle processesConstantly seeks ways to improve processes for increased agility and qualityAbility to evaluate and communicate risk levels, and use those assessments to execute tests effectively with abbreviated timelinesAutomated Continuous Integration, Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline using Jenkins

“Compensation Range: $55,500 - $73,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
