You Role:
At MilliporeSigma, the Associate Quality Scientist will perform Quality Control activities in support of GMP products, including routine testing and peer review of raw materials, intermediate and final products, and stability samples.
Responsibilities will include:
Shift: Monday- Friday 7am-3pm.Perform routine assays in accordance to applicable GMP requirements, processes and/or unit operations.Complete the volume of work required to achieve group/departmental goals and meet deadlines.Contribute to support functions of the lab (e.g., maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal).Communicate the status of operations and bring deviations to the attention of supervisor.Provide complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines and GDP requirements.Interface with external customers.In compliance with change control procedures, improve processes through application of scientific knowledge, experience, and principles.Train new hires on relevant SOPs and operations in assigned work area(s), as defined.Perform and educate on advanced analytical problem-solving techniques.Participate in department meetings.Execute job responsibilities to management expectation, aligning to individual, department, and site objectives (equivalent to level of expertise).Act in the best interest of MilliporeSigma core values and Code of Conduct.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other life science discipline.1+ years laboratory, or quality review experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of general laboratory techniques.Thorough knowledge of aseptic operations.Knowledge in chemistry, math, and general science Ability to function and lead in a team environment.Good customer service and communications skills, oral and written Basic understanding analytical tools and equipment.Safe chemical handling practice.Compute chemical calculations and conversions Ability to adapt, self-motivate, and critically think Organization and time management skills Database software management skills.Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and balance multiple projects simultaneously.Skilled in making decisions and attention to detail Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot experimental issues and propose solutions to challenges.Ability to collect, organize, and analyze scientific data using appropriate software tools and statistical methods.This may include data visualization and interpretation.Understanding of experimental design principles to plan and execute experiments effectively, ensuring validity and reliability of results.
