Associate Regional Director

The Opportunity

As an Associate Regional Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies focused on coaching advisors on financial planning, investment management, practice management and client acquisition within your geographical area. In partnership with a Regional Director and Regional Consultants, you’ll educate advisors to help them grow their wealth and financial planning businesses, including making introductions to subject matter experts in home office.

The Impact

In partnership with the Regional Director, you’ll develop and execute a strategic plan for your geographical territory, supporting the field in achieving their Wealth Management goals.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Tactical execution of written plan in each agency1x1 advisor coaching and support for novice and high potential experienced advisors to grow their wealth and financial planning businessConduct regular coaching program advisor focus groups for high potential wealth advisors, and support bootcamps as necessaryExecute WM sessions at Field conferences (MassMutual Academy, Career Development School, etc.)Deliver agency training on key concepts including:6 Step Financial Planning ProcessClient Service ModelsClient Engagement FrameworksProduct Sales ConversationsNet Flows StrategiesAdvisor Book of Business Assessments and Action plans for advisors, including practice management approaches for asset management

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or HS Diploma with 10+ years of experience working in the investment management and financial planning space5+ years of sales experience selling investment management and financial planning products & solutionsFINRA Licensing- Series 7 at time of applicationFINRA Licensing - 66 or equivalent at time of application or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire2+ years of experience working and developing in-depth knowledge of insurance, wealth management and any associated products and servicesAbility to travel upwards of 50%

The Ideal Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or other similar degreeDeep understanding of the issues facing financial advisors as small business ownersUnderstands Financial, Wealth and Insurance Products and the demands these disciplines place on an advisor practiceProven sales across multiple products Strong presentation skills in both live and virtual formatsSelf-motivated team player with a consultative and collaborative mindsetProblem solver with strong business acumen and interpersonal skillsCan vary their communication style between either coaching or consulting based on the demands of the situationAbility to clearly communicate nuanced concepts and navigate sometimes complex interpersonal dynamics

Compensation: $70K-80K base salary plus sales-based incentive opportunity resulting in a total target compensation package of $160K
