Responsible for overseeing the activities of the Regional Facility Services department including managing the outside facility services vendor program, supervising the upkeep of restaurant facilities and equipment, and ensuring proper implementation of preventative maintenance programs for a particular region.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the outsourced vendor selection and retention programs within the region by overseeing the daily workflow for all dispatch, equipment and facilities maintenance services.
Solicits and evaluates bids, selects and approves recommended vendors, and receives and tracks updates from restaurants and departmental staff assessing vendor quality and performance.
Researches and responds to maintenance related comments and complaints, provides explanation of services provided, and ensures a timely resolution to issues. Ensures compliance with safety standards and local, state and federal requirements.
Evaluates regional maintenance and repair needs, approves and monitors repair spending and planned capital expenditures. Provides input in capital planning and budgeting, coordinates departmental support for new restaurant openings and special corporate projects and ensures timely and efficient response to all service requests.
Trains and communicates to management how to utilize the Facility Service Department in the most cost effective and timely manner. Regularly updates management on cost and inventory management, trend analysis, and service performance.
Leads and/or participates on development teams facility services programs.
Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a Facilities Services role. Experience in an in-house operation, preferred. Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Excellent oral and written English communication skills, planning and organization skills, supervisory, and negotiation skills.
Good mathematical and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge and understanding of local, County, and State building codes, and safety and health regulations.
Proficient knowledge of personal computers and related software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
Basic knowledge of building maintenance activities, including CFC, carpentry, refrigeration, electrical and food service equipment and maintenance repair.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone; ability to type on a computer keyboard.
Ability to travel to restaurants approximately 30% - 40% of time as business needs require.
Ability to ascend a 20-foot vertical ladder and lift 25-50 lbs.

The range for this position is $87,800 - $123,000 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
