Associate Registrar, Curriculum Management

The Office of the Registrar seeks an Associate Registrar, Curriculum Management to provide oversight of the curriculum management process for registrar’s office, including academic eligibility, curriculum policies, program development, degree audit academic structure, and related reporting for all MCPHS students. The Associate Registrar ensures the 100+ academic programs are properly maintained and disseminated in compliance with related university, state, federal regulations and policies, and accrediting standards.

 

• Serves as curriculum liaison; collaborates with academic units, enrollment services and ITS to ensure appropriate delivery of academic curriculum content via the student academic evaluations, web services and the university academic catalog as curriculum is approved by MCPHS Academic Council
• Develops training and communication plans to support campus use and maintenance of degree audit on all campuses via in-person and electronic for undergraduate, graduate, certificate and minor student academic evaluation reports (AER’s)/degree audits
• Conducts annual departmental program audit/review. Ensures creation of approved program/revisions reflects appropriate associated catalog year and Academic Council approval
• Coordinates systematic review of all cohort assignments prior to pre-registration to ensure course offerings are supportive of all cohort requirements
• Administers the university course change process. Ensures prerequisites, co-requisites, course descriptions and registration permissions are reflective of academic department program objectives. Supports Academic Affairs in the annual development of the university catalog as it relates to course requirements
• Manages all end of semester processing including student academic progression, Deans list, multiple attempts, pre-requisite checks and change of programs
• Oversees special academic requests and the proper application of evaluated transfer and AP credit to ensure accurate application to degree audit and fulfillment of general education requirements
• Perform graduation clearances for the university’s three annual degree conferrals via accurate academic program evaluation reports and audit notifications. Troubleshoots commencement discrepancies and participates with diploma distribution
• Assists University Registrar with research and reporting of program enrollment statistics and related data for federal, local, and state agencies
• Processes leave of absence and withdrawals as needed
• Provides support for NSC error reports and student status verifications as needed
• Works with the University Registrar leadership team to develop department objectives, goals, setting priorities, and short-and-long range planning to guide efficient and effective operations
• Prepares benchmark reports related to other schools’ best practices
• Represents the Registrar’s Office on official university committees
• Performs other work as directed by University Registrar
• May require occasional travel to all University campuses (Manchester and Worcester)
• Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
