Associate Relations Manager(HR Manager)

Job Description:

P&O Business Partner 

The Associate Relations Manager will play an integral part in supporting and delivering associate relations support to all associates. This role will ensure that associate issues and needs are resolved fairly, objectively, and in a way that aligns with the Mars Five Principles. A key focus of the incumbent in this role is to provide Associate Relations support and issue resolution across all levels of the organization and mitigate any adverse labor impacts by providing deep policy and regulation knowledge.

Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in in Labor/Industrial Relations, Legal and HRBPPreferred qualification: Combination of education and experience preferred5 or more years of experience working in a Labor Relations environment providing labor relations expertiseStrong communication, written and interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals across all levels of the organizationDeep knowledge in applicable employment and labor relations regulations (i.e. PRC Labor Contract Law, PRC Employment Promotion Law, Labor Union Law, etc.)Ability to rapidly mobilize and manage internal and external resources to mitigate risks to the Mars business and reputationAbility to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive informationStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong conflict management skillsAbility to work independently and own discrete areas of responsibility Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and working effectively with manager while managing competing projects and/or demanding clients

What will be your key responsibilities? 

Provide guidance to Business Partners, Line Managers, and associates on the resolution of complex escalated inquires and casesParticipate in investigations and own investigation documentation / follow upAnalyze and evaluate investigative findings and provide recommendations on suggested resolutionsParticipate in meetings with external agencies (e.g. legal counsel, etc.) regarding Associate Relations issuesResolve disputes and grievances in partnership with Work Councils leadership and Business PartnersMaintain and reference documentation (e.g. associate relations records, arbitration awards, Memorandums of Understanding and collective bargaining notes and history) for more effective case managementLeverage best practices, trends and regulatory developments to identify areas of improvement and communicate suggestions to managersDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of local legal developments and leading industry labor relations practices
