Position Overview: The Associate Relations Partner is responsible for managing and resolving Associate relations issues, providing advice and support to managers of individual contributors. This role involves directly handling Associate relations work, while consulting with and keeping Business Partners updated on all developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Associate Relations Management:
Address and resolve Associate concerns and grievances promptly and effectively.
Conduct thorough investigations into Associate complaints, ensuring a fair and unbiased process.
Provide guidance and support to Associates/Managers on workplace issues, policies, and procedures.
Lead the creation, implementation and review of P&C policies and procedures related to Associate Relations.
Advisory and Support:
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers of individual contributors, offering advice on P&C policies, and best practices.
Support managers in addressing various workplace challenges, including conflict resolution, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
Facilitate effective communication between Associates and Managers to ensure an effective work environment.
Consult with and keep Business Partners updated on all Associate relations matters.
Disciplinary and Performance Management:
Draft and review disciplinary notices and performance improvement plans.
Collaborate with managers to ensure a fair and consistent approach with disciplinary actions.
Coach managers on interpersonal skills and conflict management techniques.
Monitor and follow up on performance improvement plans to ensure progress and resolution up to and including termination. Initiate termination action in WD as needed.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of Associate relations cases and resolutions.
Analyze trends and provide reports to P&C leadership on Associate relations issues.
Use data to identify areas for improvement and develop proactive strategies to address potential issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Experience conducting investigations and managing complex employee relations cases.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
