The Hinson lab is seeking an independent, highly motivated PhD-level scientist to lead our NIH-funded program to study the mechanisms of inherited cardiomyopathies using human induced pluripotent stem cell-based models. The ideal candidate would have a strong training background in cell and molecular biology, and prior expertise in human induced/embryonic pluripotent cell differentiation assays particularly for the study of cardiometabolic disorders would be highly desirable.

The Hinson lab at the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine and UConn Health studies human cardiovascular disorders especially heart failure using a combination of approaches including genome editing, pluripotent stem cell technology, genomics assays, and tissue engineering.
