Associate Respiratory Care Practitioner – St. Patrick Hospital-Broadway Bldg-Missoula, MT

The Associate Respiratory Therapist is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles. The Associate Respiratory Therapist should be a solid performer who is fully competent in all aspects of his/her job description.  He/she is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.  He/She will collaborate with Physicians and Nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care. Completion of the department orientation program as well as unit-specific orientation, as required, is mandatory. This individual assists the Physician with the delivery and direction of Respiratory Therapy. She/He may be qualified by training and experience to operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems, monitoring and resuscitation devices, respiratory care procedures and patient assessments, diagnostic procedures and oxygen therapy. Activities may also include other patient care functions for which he or she is qualified.

Shift Details: Per Diem, Variable shift, No Daily Overtime 40 Hour Week

Required qualifications:

Associate's Degree in AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy Or Bachelor's Degree in AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy. Upon hire: Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner License  Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association  CRT with less than 5 years experience, must obtain RRT within 6 months of hire; Or 5 years CRT and no RRT requirement
