Position Overview Become a member of the Revenue Team at Extreme Networks!  We are looking for a Revenue accountant to become a contributing member of the team reporting to the Revenue Manager.  As a top candidate, you should have a desire to learn, be an analytical thinker, and be able to contribute with your knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Guidance.  Duties and Responsibilities •           Perform month-end activities including journal entries preparation, account reconciliations, back-end controls to ensure accuracy, and internal reporting.  •           Actively maintain and review designated revenue and deferred revenue accounts and activity.•           Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues, effectively and in a timely manner. •           Assist the team in reviewing contracts, large deals and identifying non-standard terms.•           Assist in maintaining and updating internal documentation for revenue process and procedures.•           Prepare SSP schedules to support monthly review, quarterly audits, and external reporting processes •           Partner with order management to ensure accurate and timely billing for all sales order types.•           Provide input for ongoing development and improvement to systems and processes.•           Assist the team with review of RevPro Contracts ensuring compliance with ASC 606 for Combined Contract guidelines. •           Assist with external audit requests during both the annual and quarterly reviews.•           Liaison with professional services team and recognize revenue in accordance with ASC 606 accounting standards.•           Support ad hoc projects, including systems implementation Education, Professional Skills & Experience •           Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.  CPA certification strongly preferred.•           Minimum of 2 years’ experience in revenue accounting with a strong emphasis on ASC 606.•           Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel •           Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply accounting guidelines.•           Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. •           Experience with Oracle& RevPro systems a plus.•           Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Extreme Networks, Inc.
