Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Revenue Cycle Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for assisting the Senior Payment Review and Denial Analyst with performing audits to identify underpayments and denial trends to maximize reimbursement and efficiently reduce the outstanding accounts receivable. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining third party payor spreadsheets to ensure resolution of accounts in addition to resolving credit balances by reviewing accounts thoroughly to issue refunds or adjust accordingly

Job Responsibilities:

Performs detailed analysis of payer reimbursement to determine underpayment trends and prepares detailed spreadsheets to address with the third party payors on a bi weekly basis Tracks and maintains third party payor spreadsheets to ensure resolution of accounts and keeps Senior Analysts informed of progress Resolves credit balances by reviewing accounts thoroughly and follow hospital policy to refund or adjust accordingly Performs detailed analysis of payment inconsistencies to identify variances resulting from Contract Management load issues and provides a thorough and accurate written explanation of contractual reimbursement terms to make the necessary updates Coordinate audit activities to ensure timely submission of clear organized deliverables for meetings including analyses and summaries Assist the department in evaluating and escalating eligibility authorization billing and claims processing inaccuracies to develop upstream solutions Train other analysts as needed Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree 3-5 years experience in Healthcare relating to receivables management reimbursement payor contracting or related field. Excellent communication both oral and written interpersonal organizational detail oriented analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree Business Administration Healthcare Administration or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Access

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 – $70,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
