Job Description In vivo pharmacology has an opening for an associate scientist I at our Cambridge Crossing laboratories. This position will contribute to efforts aimed at addressing key biology questions within the neuropsychiatric disorders utilizing rodent behavior models to advance drug discovery. This position will perform and assist with execution and optimization in vivo behavioral assays in rodent models and support other related activities such as survival surgeries. The successful candidate will be a motivated, experienced, collaborative, flexible and productive individual and expected to support in vivo biology development efforts for existing early portfolio programs as well as participate in target validation for the exploratory pipeline. Key Responsibilities Include:  + Plan and execute rodent behavior experiments including compound formulation, dosing and handling, behavioral testing and observations, tissue sampling. + Analyze data and present results to in vivo group, project teams, or other internal groups  + Support and assist with development and execution of survival surgery experiments (e.g. stereotactic surgeries) + Maintain full compliance with animal welfare protocols  + Assist with study report compilation and data review of internal and external experiments + Help design studies, research new animal models and disease areas of interest  Qualifications The position will be filled at a level that aligns with the candidate's education, experience, and achievements. Associate Scientist I or Associate Scientist II. + BS/BA, or MS in Neuroscience or related field + 0-3+ years of experience working in an academic or industry setting + Hands-on experience with rodent handling, various dosing routes and tissue collection methods. + Direct experience with rodent behavior assays + Hands-on experience with rodent survival surgery and related experimental data documentation desired + Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate data to teams + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written + Willingness to work in the laboratory/vivarium to move the science forward with a sense of urgency.
