You work as part of a cross-functional team to lead and deliver the activities required to complete Process Design and Process Deployment for Innovation, Growth and Productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience 

How you will contribute

With the support of a manager and technical coaches, you will design and implement projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements and effectively communicate project statuses and risks. As part of that planning process, you will conduct activities to generate the appropriate process information, using modelling, simulations, and pilot plant and plant trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements.

You will also plan and conduct process development activities including process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments and create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications. In this role, you will assist in planning the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies, and manage stakeholders, making recommendations and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data. You will also create intellectual property to drive competitive advantage. 

In addition to the typical product development responsibilities this position will own deployment of AIPD.  AIPD is our Artificial Intelligence Assisted Product Development software.  As the lead, you will be responsible for: 

Driving AIPD Adoption within Biscuit & Baked Snacks R&D: Lead the marketing efforts to increase user engagement with AIPD, showcasing its benefits and value propositions. 

User Training & Onboarding for Biscuit & Baked Snacks R&D and leadership: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to onboard new users and equip them with the skills to effectively utilize AIPD. 

Project Set Up and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teams to identify and develop projects that leverage AIPD's capabilities. You'll assist users in creating projects and ensuring they understand the full potential of the platform.  You will Set up projects for the teams and guide them through use of the tool. 

Project Management & Documentation: Track project progress, document best practices, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders. You will create meeting notes, assign action items to developers, and ensure projects stay on track. 

Technical Expertise: Consult with developers and provide guidance on best practices for using AIPD, optimizing workflows, and enhancing functionality. You will bridge the gap between users and developers, ensuring the platform is effectively utilized and improved upon. 

Feature Development & UI Improvement: Collaborate with data scientists and external vendor software engineers to identify and develop new features and UI improvements based on user feedback. 

UAT Testing & Validation: Design and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features and UI improvements, ensuring they meet user expectations and deliver a smooth and efficient user experience. 

Note, while this role does not require coding or AI experience, being digital savvy and having the ability to quickly learn new software and digital skill sets is critical

More about this role

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in food science, chemical engineering, data Science, chemistry, physics, industrial engineering or related fields.

 Job specific requirements:

0-2 years of experience.

15% international travel

Work schedule:

Onsite role located in East Hanover, NJ.

The base salary range for this position is $61,100 to $84,050; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
