Job Description
Your Team
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Associate Site Manager to join our site team! As an Associate Site Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring quality control and overseeing construction activities from start to finish. Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be responsible for auditing compliance, managing schedules, coordinating trades, and ensuring safety and cleanliness on site.
Your Key Deliverables
Conduct daily audits of homes under construction.
Regularly inspect exterior and common property areas.
Perform quality control inspections, document any deficiencies, and ensure compliance with plans and codes.
Identify and report construction issues.
Adhere to Brookfield Safety Program policies.
Maintain a safe site, ensuring clean walkways, proper guardrails, and safe tool use. Train subcontractors on safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
Work from blueprints and follow Site Manager instructions.
Ensure proper layout and proportions of building components.
Follow up on deficiencies and liaise with municipal officials.
Schedule tasks to maintain build timelines.
Use hand and power tools for carpentry work and repairs.
Document quality control checks and hold trades accountable.
Schedule Home Orientation Meetings and possession dates, conduct home orientation meetings and provide customer care information.
Train team members on best practices and techniques.
Ensure prompt resolution of customer service issues.
Coordinate trades and site staff to adhere to timelines.
Generate POs/VPOs for approval by construction management.
Skills & Experience
2+ years of general carpentry experience.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Willingness to obtain First Aid and WHMIS certificates.
Proficiency in MS Office and good computer skills.
Leadership ability and relationship-building skills with trades and suppliers.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk on uneven terrain, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, and maneuver through tight spaces including lifting/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Adequate hearing and vision (aids and corrective lenses are acceptable).
