PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $91,700.00-$112,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $71,200.00 - $132,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

As an Associate Software Developer at BECU, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to the development of enterprise-class software. Guided by senior developers, you’ll write code for small features, create automated tests, and design data models that support robust solutions. Develop and Innovate: Write code for small features, automated tests, and scripts while learning from senior developers, building your understanding of software design and development.Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with team members to determine the best solutions for software requirements, contributing to system analysis, coding, testing, and debugging.Enhance and Improve Code: Identify areas for improvement in existing code and implement enhancements, ensuring continuous refinement of software quality.Follow Standards: Adhere to departmental procedures and programming standards, ensuring that all work complies with established guidelines and training materials.Automate Processes: Help automate business processes and interactions with guidance from business experts, contributing to improved efficiency across teams.Support Continuous Integration: Create continuous integration builds and deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient software releases.Learn and Grow: Engage in ongoing learning opportunities, deepening your expertise in software development, best practices, and modern development tools.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of one year of experience designing software and writing production code in a team environment.Experience delivering solutions in multiple programming languages and technical environments.Proficiency with .NET, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python, and familiarity with Open Source (OSS) technologies.Understanding of SOLID design principles and Object-Oriented Programming and Design.Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools.Knowledge of Test Driven Development concepts, methods, and tools.Experience using Git for version control.Understanding of data modeling concepts.
