We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in developing and maintaining our digital learning platform. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development, a keen willingness to learn, and the ability to contribute to various stages of the software development lifecycle.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

•              Software Development: Assist in the full stack design, development, release, and maintenance of scalable software features, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.

•              Knowledge Development: Develop domain and technology knowledge, including services, methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for development processes.

•              Backlog Management: Refine user stories and contribute to building the team’s backlog of work, ensuring alignment with project goals.

•              Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality and performance.

•              Documentation: Contribute to developing and maintaining technical documentation to support software development and deployment processes.

•              Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives and goals.

 

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IF TAKES IF YOU HAVE/ARE:

•              Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

•              Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

•              Strong attention to detail in software development and code review processes.

•              Foundational proficiency in object-oriented programming and modern programming languages.

•              Foundational understanding of cloud concepts, services, and deployment models aligned with Azure Fundamentals.

•              Basic knowledge of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, and Azure Storage.

•              Awareness of cloud environments' security, privacy, compliance, and trust.

•              Foundational understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

•              Foundational proficiency in JavaScript and SQL for web application development.

•              Foundational proficiency in version control (eg. Git)

•              1+ years of software development experience with an object-oriented programming language

•              Bachelor’s Degree

•              Microsoft AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals Certification (if certification is not current, must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment)

 

IT WOULD BE IDEAL IF YOU HAVE:

•              Experience with Jira, Confluence, etc.

•              Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms

•              Experience with Front-end frameworks such as Angular

IN OFFICE REQUIREMENT:

Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
