Position Summary 

We are looking for an an engineer who is passionate about new technologies and automation that make managing infrastructure for a large corporation like CVS Health seamless. We are looking for a technical leader who can collaborate well with others, advocate for best practices to build new applications. 

What we expect of you: 

You are a technologist who can plan, prioritize and perform assigned tasks within deadlines 

You can collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders across CVS to ensure we're building applications with the customer's needs in mind 

You actively participate in peer code reviews, providing feedback to your fellow engineers to make them better and to improve the quality of the deliverables 

You enjoy automating developer pain away by developing APIs, CLIs, bots, etc. 

You look for opportunities to share what you've learned with the broader engineering organization 

Required Qualifications 

0-1 years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment, preferably in a J2EE development environment with strong leadership experience 

0-1 years of Java development experience while utilizing one or more these technologies: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Go, NodeJS, Angular 8+, React, or similar 

0-1 years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Cloud development experience 

PaaS, SaaS development experience 

Frontend and/or full stack development experience utilizing a framework such as Angular or React 

Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems. 

Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability 

Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams 

 

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required 

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred 

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$61,800.00 - $123,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
